We are delighted that Black Pine Architects are entering our extension/renovation build in Whanganui East into the NZ Architectural awards.
While this was completed a while back we are very proud to see this entered into the competition. Our build lead and project manager were involved with all the critical decisions that went into turning a 105sqm 1914 Bungalow into a 220sqm, 2023 modern and in-keeping with its roots, family home.
Tongue and groove Ceiling and wooden joinery are in keeping with the original house
The exterior cladding was matched with the original house, with the rear of the house given a modern twist. This North facing opening from the main lounge accommodates excellent indoor outdoor flow, as well as enabling family friendly living for the 3 young kids.
