This Week’s Update: We are officially wrapped up over on Niblett Street! With all four of these townhouses fully completed, the crew is just putting the final touches on the crossing for access.
This project has been an awesome journey. It actually started with two neighbors teaming up to unlock their land and build much-needed housing right in the central city. Fast forward to today, and we’ve delivered four highly efficient, brand-new healthy homes to the rental market. Massive effort from our crews to get this across the finish line.
From the City to the Lake: Wiritoa Build
The Build: Lake Build
Where: Kaitoke Road, Whanganui
This Week’s Update: The exact same crew that just knocked out the Niblett Street project are full-on with exterior cladding at Kaitoke, and they’re already over the halfway mark. Inside, plumbing, electrical, and a highly efficient heating system have been installed. Painting and GIB stage is up next!
Out with the Tired Timber: Bason Botanic Gardens Update
The Build: Pavilion Renovation
Where: Bason Botanic Gardens, Whanganui
This Week’s Update: Work over at the Fern House is just about complete. This historic pavilion was overdue for some TLC, and the team have done an awesome job bringing it back to life.
We stripped away the weathered materials, rebuilt the purlins, and a brand-new run of commercial shade cloth. It looks refreshed, structurally sound, and ready for the community to enjoy again. A great little project to tick off the list!
Commercial Scale, Classic Look: The Latest from Dublin Street
The Build: Motel Units
Where: Burwood Motel, Whanganui
This Week’s Update: Talk about a contrast of work across the board for our crews right now! Over at the new Burwood Motel on Dublin Street, the crew have been flat out on the framing.
The next major step is getting everything lined up and set for the roof trusses. This project will be a great mix of modern construction efficiency while respecting the established look of the site.
The Versatile Duplex: Cambridge Street Moves
The Build: Modern Duplex
Where: Cambridge Street, Whanganui
This Week’s Update: We’ve officially hit the landscaping stage, with the driveways set and prepped. Inside, the team is getting sorted to roll into the kitchen installations.
A duplex layout like this gives an owner great flexibility – whether it’s growing a rental portfolio smartly, creating cash-flowing accommodation, or setting up a conjoined family living situation.
