Welcome to the Venture Build Weekly Wrap!

Cladding Stage Live at Kaitoke

The Build: Rural Living

Where: Kaitoke Road, Whanganui

This Week’s Update: The first layers of cladding are going up this week, kicking off a varied, multi-material exterior layout. The real hero feature is going to be the Schist stone frontage.

Inside, the sub-trades are cranking on the plumbing and heating infrastructure to make sure this place functions as good as it looks. Top it all off with an incoming pool just in time for the summer sun, and these clients are going to have the ultimate lifestyle setup. Stay tuned as we lock this one down.

Blocks Laid for the New Burwood Motel Units

The Build: Motel Units

Where: Dublin Street, Whanganui

This Week’s Update: There is a serious amount of movement over on Dublin Street right now. We’ve been flat out behind the scenes kicking off the newest commercial expansion for the Burwood Motel.

The brick and block layers have been in getting the structural perimeter sorted. Over the next few weeks, the team will be into the framing and dropping trusses into place.

Niblett Street: The Final Stretch

The Build: Urban Infill

Where: Niblett Street, Whanganui

This Week’s Update: We are at the tail end over on Niblett Street, and the site has transitioned into the landscaping phase.

The boundary fencing is being wrapped up, the topsoil has been dumped, and the trees and grass are going into the ground as we speak. These four brand-new healthy homes are very close to hitting the rental market.

Bypassing the Red Tape

The Build: 70sqm Minor Dwelling

Where: Bignell Street, Whanganui

This Week’s Update: It is officially truss time over on our first 70sqm minor dwelling project. Now that the roof trusses are flying into place, this build is starting to look like a proper house rather than just a ‘granny flat.’

Because we built this under the new standalone rules, we fast-tracked straight to the construction phase, making the whole process highly efficient. If you’ve been thinking about adding value to your property for family or as a solid rental earner, the barrier to entry has officially been dropped. Drop us a line today, and let’s look at what your site can do.

Whanganui East Progress

The Build: Cottage-style Living

Where: Benefield Street, Whanganui

This Week’s Update: Over in Whanganui East, the exterior of our Benefield Street project is officially locked down. The brief for this downsizer was a classic, timeless ‘cottage-style’ feel, so we’ve applied a clean, traditional color scheme wrapped up with crisp white joinery.

With the outside protected from the elements, GIB is currently going up across the board, with GIB stopping and internal painting next on the radar.
