Welcome to the Venture Build Weekly Wrap!
Capturing the action, transformation, and progress happening across our building sites – week by week. For all our latest construction news from Venture Build, don’t miss this Whanganui Builders Update.

Carson Street’s Newest Homes

Foundations down, frames going up. Two brand-new rental properties are well underway on Carson Street – a 3-bedroom and a 2-bedroom – built to the quality standard you’d expect. Watch this space.

240sqm of Architectural Ambition at Wiritoa

Framing is up, scaffolding is in place, and the trusses are next. This 240sqm architectural build at Kaitoke is starting to show exactly what it’s going to be – bedroom wings that separate from the living areas, a kitchen scullery, and a double garage, all sitting in one of the most picturesque settings around. This is the build to watch!

Benefield Street is Roof-Ready

Trusses are on, fascias are done, and the roof is lined up for next week at this smart down-sizer in Whanganui East. Sitting in a quiet cul-de-sac, it’s built for our client who wants to dial things back – low maintenance living, outdoor space you can actually manage, and room to potter in the garden and grow veggies without it becoming a second job.

Venture Build HQ Upgrades

It’s not just our projects that are progressing – Venture Build HQ is getting a serious upgrade. Our new workshop is steaming ahead with roller doors on, gib hitting the walls, insulation in, and office framing done. A drive-through, conference room, full kitchen, and better facilities for a team that’s earned every bit of it.

Smart Infill on Abbot

The roofing is finished and windows and doors are next at Abbot Street, where two no-nonsense infill homes are nearly ready to do exactly what they were designed to do. Healthy Homes approved, warm, dry, and low-maintenance – built for Whanganui’s rental market without a square metre wasted. When quality supply is still struggling to meet demand, this is what getting it right looks like.

Whanganui’s Housing Stock Gets Upgrade

Kitchen installations are being prepped across all three units at the Puriri Street triplex, as the project moves ahead. This is what modern infill looks like – duplex and triplex builds quietly replacing outdated housing stock with warm, affordable units across the city.
